Key to the teachings of our Catholic Christian faith is the

sanctity of life from conception to natural death. The Saint

Lawrence Martyr Respect Life group strive to take on and challenge

abortion, death penalty, and euthanasia. We also endeavor to

educate others, especially the youth, on the sanctity of life. This

education challenge was recently presented to 6th, 7th and 8th

graders at our school in the form of a Respect Life Essay

Contest.

All the essays were excellent but tough choices had to be made

on the award winners. Congratulations to all the participants.

The 2018 Award winners are:

Gold Award for a Superior written essay goes to Jiselle Lim

Platinum Award for Outstanding writing is Karma Sarni

Diamond Excellence Award goes to Devon Cornelio

Quotes from the various essays will appear in bulletins in the

coming months.

The Respect Life Group here at Saint Lawrence would like to

thank all the participants, support from Father Paul, and the entire

staff, Saint Lawrence School, and especially the school Principal

Diane Kaiser for their support in this important effort.

If you wish to participate in the Respect Life group contact

Deacon Dale. Thank you!
