On Friday night May 15th around 9:30pm, Fr.  Paul was struck by a car as he walked across the

street in front of the rectory.  He is recovering.  We praise God and ask for prayers for

his further recovery.  Please do not call the parish office for updates.  Updates will be posted here.

ADULT CONFIRMATION

If you or someone you know is over 18 years of age and wish to prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation, registration is happening now. The classes will be held on Monday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. from May 18th through August  10th.   Please contact Diane Kaiser for more information and a registration form at 310-316-0961 or diane.kaiser@stlm.org.

Sacramental Preparation: Reconciliation and First Eucharist

The Religious Education Sacramental Program is a two-year formation process for baptized children at least seven years old. A student must have the equivalent of at least two consecutive years of formation and discernment to be considered a sacramental candidate. Sacramental preparation generally begins in the 1st grade and culminates in the 2nd grade with the celebration of Reconciliation and First Eucharist. Parent participation is an essential component of the sacramental program.
The Reconciliation and Eucharist program includes:

• Parent orientation and formation meetings
• Classroom instruction
• Prayer
• Assembly for Reconciliation
• Celebration of the first reception of  First Eucharist is held at Sunday Masses during the Easter Season.
