Infant Baptisms
              (310) 540-0329

The baptism of a new baby is a joyous occasion for the entire family. The St. Lawrence parish family celebrates this with you and wants to help our youngest members and their families feel very much at home. To this end, a preparation process is offered for parents of infants and young children to be baptized. Expectant parents are also welcome to attend at any time before the birth of their baby.

This process consists of one meeting which focuses on the sacrament of baptism and Christian parenting. Group baptisms are usually held on two Sundays each month. Please call the Rectory to make an appointment with a priest who will help you to register for the session and to make arrangements for the Baptism of your child.

Confirmation
              (310) 316-0466

The Confirmation process provides an opportunity for reflecting on and growing in faith, holiness, and Christian charity. This is a time for the candidate to make a commitment to grow closer to Christ through prayer and service and to enter into the fullness of the Catholic faith.

the Confirmation process usually takes two years beginning in the fall of the candidate's freshman year and ending in the spring of their sophomore year. However, any high school teen is welcome to attend. In order to receive this sacrament and be fully initiated into the Church, a teen should have already received the Sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion.

If you are a baptized adult Catholic  at least 21 years old who has received the Lord in the Eucharist but have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation, please call the Office of Faith Formation, and Ruth Sanborn at (310) 316-0961 or contact her at ruth.sanborn@stlm.org
